Dialogue Writing

Dialogue Writing : The word dialogue (dia meaning 'two' + logos meaning 'speech or conversation') owes its origin to the Greek word 'dialogos'. Thus a dialogue basically means a conversation between two or more people. It involves standard exchange of greetings, simple question, discussion, argumentation and comments on a particular topic or range of topics. Depending upon the relationships of speakers and the situation in which they are talking, it can be formal or informal.

Dialogues are a very effective tool of narratiopn and are frequently used in novels, plays, stories and poems to make them lively, dramatic and authentic and to express the views of characters as distinct from those of the author.
